Electronics Technician

Sound Devices, LLC is currently searching for an Electronics Repair Technician. The repair technician will be responsible for test and repair of Sound Devices products and will work closely with senior technicians to develop their troubleshooting skills.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair a variety of audio equipment including field mixers, digital recorders, and audio accessories to the component level.
Build and maintain test cables, fixtures, and test equipment.
Identify manufacturing trends that affect the quality of our products.
Support production by assisting the assemblers and test operators when a mechanical or electrical issue arises.
Participate in special projects with other departments as needed.
Other duties as required.

Skills Must Include

2-year associates degree or equivalent.
Ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
Good knowledge of analog and digital circuitry.
Experience in soldering and reworking fine pitch surface mount and through-hole components.
Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and data sheets.
Knowledge of audio circuitry and switching power supplies is a plus.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Familiarity with PADS, Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
