Production Engineer - Electrical

Electronics manufacturer is looking for an Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing floor by resolving day-to-day production issues of analog and digital circuitry. Responsibilities include: troubleshooting and resolving component, design, and board level problems for both mature and new products; working with Test Programmers to design, develop, and maintain production test stands as well as test stand migration to new platforms; working with Engineering to improve new product designs. Experience with both analog and digital circuitry is required. Candidate must possess high degree of motivation and curiosity.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Work with production, purchasing, and vendors to resolve electronic and electro-mechanical component failures.
Support Repair Department by assisting with troubleshooting both mature and new product failures.
Work with Contract Manufacturers to improve 1st pass yield at the board level.
Assist in sourcing and selecting new Contract Manufacturers.
Work with Engineering on new product design issues.
Develop test stands, programs, and cabling with Programmer. Automated test stand consists of dScope audio analyzers, Agilent switchers, and power supplies, and VB6.
Improve standard test times.

Required Skills / Abilities / Experience

BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years experience in product development or manufacturing support
Ability to trouble shoot analog and digital circuitry
Experience with embedded control and firmware design
Ability to read schematics and develop test code to validate functionality of products.
Experience with audio circuitry and concepts
Knowledge of test fixture design, production test programs, and in circuit testing
Experience with PADS schematic capture and layout
Knowledge of programming such as VB6, mySQL, Access, Javascript, C++, ASP
