Electronics manufacturer is looking for a Test Programmer to help support manufacturing by designing, writing, troubleshooting, and continuously improving test programs for audio and video products. Candidate must possess a high degree of motivation and curiosity.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop test programs using Visual Basic 6 to control an automated test stands consisting of dScope audio analyzers, Agilent switchers, and power supplies.
- Experience with all phases of software development life cycles (figuring out requirements, designing, debugging, testing, defect resolution)
- Migrating of test code to new platform.
- Interfacing with in-house mySQL database for archiving of test data.
- Improvement of standard test times.
- Ability to read schematics and develop test code to validate functionality of the product
Required Skills / Abilities / Experience
- BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years experience in test development
- Ability to trouble shoot hardware
- Experience with embedded control and firmware design
- Knowledge of test fixture design, production test programs, and in circuit testing
- Knowledge and expertise in VB6, mySQL, Access, Javascript, C++, ASP
