302 Input and Output Panel Descriptions
The chart below describes the inputs and output panels of the Sound Devices 302 Compact Field Mixer, including functionality and pin configurations.
The 302 Input Panel

For unbalanced inputs, ground pin-3 to pin-1 of the XLR-Male connector. Inputs can be selected to either mic or line-level using the switch above the respective input’s XLR connector. Stereo linking between channels 1 and 2 can be set in the 302 Setup Menu. When using MS Stereo techniques use channel 1 for the “Mid” input and channel 2 for the “Side” input. |

If connecting to an unbalanced input, unbalance the output by using pin-2 for signal and pin-1 for ground. The output level can be attenuated in the 302 Setup Menu from line-level to mic-level. Attenuation is set from 0 to -16 dB in 2 dB increments, and -40 to -56 dB in 2 dB increments. Output level attenuation is applied jointly at both left and right master outputs. |
