XL-88 Breakout Cable for 788T
The DE-15 connector on the back panel of the 788T includes several connections, including:
- AES3 inputs 1 through 8
- AES3 outputs 5 and 6
- DC power input (duplicate of the panel-mounted power input connection)
- logic input and output for remote control
Sound Devices accessory cable XL-88 breaks out the multi-pin into XLR, Hirose, and bare leads.
The DE-15 connection is convenient when the 788T is used on the cart connected to a digital console. With a single connection carrying both digital audio signals and power, break-away and teardown are fast and simple.
