Sound Devices is pleased to introduce the latest in our field mixer product line, the 552.

For the video geeks among us, this one-take was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II at its 1920x1080 file size, ISO 1600, using a 70-200 f4 IS @ 75 mm/ f 8.0. Audio was recorded to a 552 (seen on the tabletop) using a probe mic (also seen in frame). Sound and picture were synced in FCP 6 using a dumb slate at the head of the take. A touch of compression was added to the sound file to make it push though on laptop loudspeakers. A 1280x720, 5 Mb/s, H.264 file was uploaded to Vimeo, which drops the original 30 frame rate to 24 frame. No crew or talent (talentless...) was used in the production of this video.
