Audio & Video Service Technician (m/w/d) – Berlin, Germany

To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a qualified full-time Audio & Video Service Technician (m/f) in Berlin, Germany:

Your Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair professional audio and video equipment including field mixers, digital recorders, video monitors and accessories to the component level including soldering under the microscope
  • Identify and document fault trends
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and service documentation
  • Perform maintenance and repairs of devices using our quality and repair management system
  • Monitor and ensure sufficient availability of materials and stock of inventory

Your Profile

  • Completed vocational training or college degree in electrical engineering, information and communication technology or similar
  • 5+ years of experience repairing audio and/or video devices
  • Experience in soldering and rework of fine pitch SMT, BGA, and through-hole components
  • Professional experience in production, operation and analysis of faults of complex assemblies and systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot analog and digital circuitry to the component level
  • Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and data sheets
  • Ability to troubleshoot analog and digital circuitry to the component level
  • Full professional proficiency in English for communication with our US colleagues
  • Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes, DMMs, bench power supplies, stereomicroscopes, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and collaborate.
  • Small project management
  • Understanding of standard ESD preventative practices.
  • Familiarity with software such as PADS, mySQL, JavaScript, Microsoft programs and Apple OS is a plus
