Product Marketing Specialist – Madison or Reedsburg, WI

The Product Marketing Specialist contributes to Sound Devices’ brand strategy, ensuring excellence in technical marketing content for our entire product portfolio of wireless audio gear, mixers, and recorders. Experience in the sound industry and with our gear is critical to this role, as you will be working directly with our award-winning products and serving in a customer-facing capacity. The right candidate is highly organized, can balance multiple tasks simultaneously, and can work with short deadlines. This is a fully in-office (not remote) position, where you will collaborate with the Marketing team, which is made up of a cohesive, creative group who work together to accomplish projects and achieve goals.

Job Duties

  • Assist Marketing Director and Marketing team in brainstorming and carrying out integrated, creative marketing campaigns that align with team and company goals 
  • Assist in moderating social media accounts and groups, and responding to customer questions and concerns with technical answers in line with Sound Devices’ social media guidelines 
  • Support Sales and RF teams by maintaining audio demo gear kits for tradeshows, events and customer demos, including keeping meticulous records to track inventory, shipping, damage, service logs, etc. 
  • Work with Marketing Director, Sales, and RF teams to ensure 3rd-party gear is adequately stocked and maintained 
  • Develop system to track and log gear that bridges gap between those who have Salesforce (digital sales/service tool) licenses and those who don’t. Train staff on system and enforce its use 
  • Travel to some events and tradeshows to assist with gear setup/teardown, and lead product education presentations, demonstrations, and tutorials 
  • Create, review, and edit product and technical marketing content for digital and print sources. Ensure that all content is brand-aligned and technically accurate 
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Administrator on creation – from ideation through distribution – of product videos, tutorials, and other visual media. This may include appearing on camera and hosting videos 
  • Assist with content creation, with a focus on consumer experience and customer journey. Facilitate content updates as necessary for feature, hardware, and product changes  
  • Help educate customers on necessity of product registration and firmware updates. Assist with the Marketing team’s role in firmware launches 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 


  • 2-3 years B2B and/or B2C marketing experience, including digital marketing 
  • Real-world experience working with professional audio gear; experience with Sound Devices gear preferred 
  • Experience working in technical support or service a plus 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills 
  • Working with diverse teams across cultures in other countries and time zones
