Sound Devices L.A. Wireless Workshop

Sep 15, 2023, 10:30 AM – Sep 18, 2023, 4:00 PM
Amsterdam NL

Visit Sound Devices at stand 8.C95 at the IBC tradeshow, September 15th-18th in Amsterdam, to get hands-on demos of the latest additions to the Astral family – A20-Nexus Go and A20-TX. The newly introduced A20-TX digital wireless bodypack transmitter has a multipurpose input, flexible powering, and ultra-low-power e-Paper display. Also making its IBC debut will be the A20-Nexus Go multichannel true diversity wireless receiver with 169-1525 MHz global tuning range via SpectraBand, NexLink long-distance remote control of transmitters, and integrated RTSA (real-time spectrum analysis).

The A20-TX transmitter and A20-Nexus Go receiver will join other Astral-family products in the Sound Devices booth, including the A20-Nexus multichannel, true diversity wireless receiver with SpectraBand, NexLink RTSA, and Power-over-Ethernet and audio via Dante; the svelte A20-Mini bodypack transmitter with GainForward and SpectraBand; and the A20-RX 2-channel slot-in portable true-diversity wireless receiver.

We will also display our 8-Series line, which includes Scorpio, 888, and 833 mixer-recorders. Designed specifically for sound professionals’ workflows, each 8-Series mixer-recorder has unprecedented recording power and a rugged, efficient interface.

We plan to celebrate our 25th anniversary in a special way at IBC this year. In addition to demoing our MixPre II Series audio mixers, with crystal-clear, ultra-low-noise Kashmir preamps, 32-bit float bit depth and a 192 kHz sample rate, we’ll have an opportunity for a stand visitor to win a limited-edition silver MixPre-3 II mixer-recorder. Visit stand 8.C95 to learn how to enter the drawing!

A20-Mini TX Pack Clip

Made by: Delve.

This is a lightweight 3D printed Nylon clip for the Sound Devices A20-Mini digital wireless transmitter pack.
It accommodates both the original and BatteryDoubler battery doors.

  • Weighing  just 12 grms/ 0.4 oz, the design follows the sleek, rounded form of the pack and has been created to add minimum bulk.
  • The A20-Mini TX pack  is simply snapped into the clip and  engages with the 4 locating ‘pips’. The four ‘arms’ hold the pack in place and also allow the battery door to be easily accessed.
  • The pack can be accomodated either antenna up or antenna down.
  • Available in black, white or in a range of 7 colours
  • If you decide to buy this clip, at the checkout I would recommend selecting ‘Economy Manufacturing Speed’ and ‘Expedited Shipping’.
