Installing Wave Agent on Mac OS

For Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia, and Macs with Apple Silicon

Step 1

Uninstall any previous version of Wave Agent. 

Download Wave Agent for macOS here.

After downloading, open Finder and locate WaveAgent_Mac_v1.20.zip

Double-click the file to unzip.

Step 2

Open the folder WaveAgent_Mac_v1.20 and double-click wave-agent-macos-1.20.dmg

An installation window will appear, instructing to drag and drop Wave Agent into your Applications folder.

Step 3

Allow the app to install.

Double-click the Wave Agent icon to open the application.

If this is your first time running Wave Agent, it is possible that macOS may prohibit the app from running. If this occurs, please follow the additional steps below.

A. Go to System Settings

B. Select Privacy & Security

C. On this page, you will find a section that says the following: “Wave Agent” was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer.

D. Click on the button that says ‘Open Anyway‘

You may encounter a pop-up window that reads: macOS cannot verify the developer of “Wave Agent”. Are you sure you want to open it?

E. Click ‘Open‘

Wave Agent will open successfully on your Mac.

Please Note: If you are connecting a 788T to your Mac via USB for operating Wave Agent in CTRL mode, you may require a USB to UART Bridge VCP Driver. If this is the case, please download the CP210x USB to UART Bridge Controller here.
