Description
This is version 2 of the popular TF8 extension controller made to provide tactile control for channels 9-16 on a Sound Devices 888. This new version offers flexible control of any channel, master/bus/output fader + a bunch of other cool features. It works for both 833, 888, Scorpio. Please see the video demo.
9 high quality, non detent (smooth) endless encoders with selectable trim (gain) or volume fader functionality. Tailor made for 8-series recorders, designed and assembled by hand in Denmark. Please read the full description and FAQ below before you purchase. More pics and videos are on the way.

Can I change the channel configuration?
Yes! Version 3 has extensive customization options in the menu. Control any channel on any mixer you like. See the online user manual
What’s the build quality like?
The electronics inside is a factory made custom embedded PCB design. Low EMI and power efficient, very proud of this one. The enclosure is manufactured by me with expertly fine tuned 3D printers using PETG material – durable, UV/heat resistant. I am pushing the technology to provide the best looking surface finish possible. This is not your regular 3D printed object. Take a look at the high res photos and decide for yourself (some of the images on this product page show the 833 version, but the concept and build is identical except the TF8+ has 9 knobs and is designed to fit an 888)
Will this work on my 6-series, 7-series, MixPre, Zoom recorder, etc ?
I am sorry – these units are only compatible – and specifically made for Sound Devices 8 series. You might be able to use it in your DAW though
What happens if I plug this into a 833 or Scorpio?
The controller is ready to control 888, 833 or Scorpio, just go to the menu and select your mixer model.
What about a 12 ch version for Scorpio?
If enough people commit to be on a list of people who will definitely buy one, I will consider making it. [email protected]
Can I use multiple USB controllers at a time?
Yes with a hub. Please consult the 8 series manual regarding third party controller spill / individual mode to determine if this will work with your use case.
How do I mount this thing?
It comes with a pair of mounting brackets so you can attach the controller firmly directly to the 888
What if it breaks or stops working?

I’ve heard third party controllers will sometimes act up and even cause 8 series to freeze
