Sound Devices Receives Nominations for the 55th CAS Awards

REEDSBURG, WIS., JANUARY 25, 2019 – Sound Devices is honored to be among the nominees for the 55th Cinema Audio Society Awards. The company is a seven-time CAS Award winner, beginning with the 744T in 2006. Both the Audio Limited A10 Digital Wireless System and the Dugan AutoMix feature for the Sound Devices 633 Compact Field Mixer/Recorder have been nominated for the category “Outstanding Product – Production.”

Dugan Automatic Mixing is the industry’s most highly regarded automatic mixing algorithm. “Sound Devices is a really smart company,” said creator and industry icon Dan Dugan, CEO of Dan Dugan Sound Design, Inc. “The 633 is a perfect match for putting in automatic mixing because it adds another feature to what is already a really fabulous line of products.” Dugan Automatic Mixing is a great tool for multi-microphone speech applications, smoothly attenuating unused microphones for a cleaner, clearer mix.
