Visit stand N1812 at NAB to see the newest gear in the Sound Devices Astral^® family, including the Astral HH digital handheld microphone, which can be quickly customized, thanks to the Capsule Collar that is threaded for almost any mic capsule, the interchangeable Control Ring that adds physical control buttons or switches, and the quick-change Body Shell that can be decorated, painted, and bedazzled.  

We’ll also demo the Astral ARX32 wireless receiver with HexVersity^®, which packs up to an unprecedented 32 channels in just a 1U 19” rack; the Astral Opto expansion box, which adds native Optocore audio I/O;  the Astral Outpost box for remote-mounting NexLink^® antennae via Ethernet; along with a preview of a brand new Astral product.  

Also on our stand will be the 8- to 16-channel Astral ARX16 true diversity wireless receiver; Astral TX digital wireless bodypack transmitter; Astral Mini ultra-compact digital wireless bodypack transmitter; and Astral ARX2 two-channel slot-in portable true-diversity wireless receiver.  

You can also experience 8-Series mixer-recorders. Designed for sound pros’ workflow, Scorpio, 888, and 833 have unprecedented recording power, a rugged, efficient interface, and can be docked to Astral ARX16/ ARX8 receivers.  

We’ll also have our MixPre II Series mixer recorders, suited for field audio, sound effects, film audio, or live music, on display at NAB.
