Sound Devices CL-16 Wins Outstanding Product – Production at 57th CAS Awards

REEDSBURG, WI, May 3, 2021 – The Sound Devices CL-16 Linear Fader Control Surface for 8-Series has won “Outstanding Product – Production” at the 57th Cinema Audio Society Awards. The winners were announced Saturday, April 17th via a virtual event. This award marks the ninth win for Sound Devices in the CAS “Outstanding Product – Production” category, following last year’s win for the Scorpio Premium Portable Mixer-Recorder.

“We’re grateful to the members of the Cinema Audio Society for their continued support and congratulate all the nominees and winners,” said Matt Anderson, CEO.

The CL-16 Linear Fader Control Surface for 8-Series combines the simplicity of traditional analog consoles with the power and flexibility of digital consoles. It features 16 dedicated Penny & Giles faders, 16 dedicated trim controls and a large, sunlight-readable LCD display. Similar to digital consoles, the CL-16 has 32 multi-function rotary controls, five user-assignable buttons, and a built-in 5-port USB hub.

Sound Devices recently released firmware version 8.00 which introduces a number of new features and improvements for the 8-Series, including channel color options for the CL-16. These new channel colors add to the CL-16’s intuitive feature set, making it an invaluable accessory for the Scorpio and 888 mixer-recorders.
